What is a Home Inspection?
A home inspection is a non-invasive, (visual only) examination of a
residential or commercial building as well as it's mechanical systems. The inspection is designed to identify any
material defects that the building might have.
Such items that will be inspected are: plumbing, electrical, roof, structural, attic, windows, etc. Please keep in mind that the Home Inspector is not a code inspector as village codes do vary from one another. That may need to get checked separately.
Why get a
Home Inspection?
Although a
home inspection may not be required, it is always a good idea to help protect
your investment. A quality home
inspection will give you the knowledge and insight to properly care for and
understand your home or building. Home
Inspections may reveal things that may hinder your ability to finance, legally
occupy, or insure your home. DON'T TAKE
THAT RISK!
What can I
expect from a Home Inspection?
You can
expect a professional visual inspection of your property and mechanical systems
along with a quality report upon completion. The report will inform you of all
the inspector's findings, which you will
have, in hand, within 48 hours of the actual inspection. You can also expect to
put your mind at ease knowing that your home has been inspected according to
NACHI standards and ethics all the while gaining more knowledge about your
major investment.
Am I expected to be present at the time of the Home Inspection?
It is preferred, and highly recommended that the client is present during the inspection of the home, although not mandatory. It is more informative for the client to accompany the Inspector during the walk-thru of the home.
How long
does a Home Inspection take?
A Home Inspection averages 3-4 hours.
How much does a Home Inspection cost?
The cost of a Home Inspection depends on the square footage of the building. Please remember, we do give FREE estimates.
When is payment due?
We currently accept cash, check, or money order. Payment is due at the time of the inspection.
